It brings the total number of deaths recorded by the Department of Health to 2,103.
137 positive cases of the virus have been confirmed in Northern Ireland in the past day.
166 people are being treated for covid in local hospitals - 16 are in intensive care.

Earlier today, figures published by NISRA showed that 30 deaths involving Covid-19 occurred in the week 6th to 12th March 2021.
NISRA's total number of Covid-19 related deaths that occurred up to 12th March 2021 has now reached 2,877.
The Department of Health's figures are based on patients having previously tested positive for the virus, whereas the NISRA figures are based on the information entered on death certificates completed by medical professionals.
