Three more people have died after contracting Covid19 in Northern Ireland.

It brings the total number of deaths recorded by the Department of Health to 2,173.

A further 1,473 new cases have also been confirmed in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Stormont's Communities minister says she expects all venue promoters in Northern Ireland to have safety measures in place when they reopen.

From 6pm this evening, theatres and concert halls will be allowed to welcome customers back as part of the latest easing of coronavirus measures.

People will have to book in advance, remain seated during shows and observe 1 metre social distancing.

Minister Deirdre Hargey says the pandemic showed just how important the arts are.

The Executive also raised the number limit for gatherings in indoor domestic settings from six to 10 people, from no more than three households.

Wearing face coverings inside places of worship is also set to be changed from a mandatory requirement to guidance, while restrictions on how MOT vehicle tests are conducted are to be eased.
