Three people injured in Lisburn smash

Two people have been taken to the Royal Victoria hospital following a crash in Lisburn.


A third person has been treated at the scene after two vans collided on the Hill Hall Road just before 8 o clock this morning.

The vehicles caught fire and fire crews were called to extinguish the blaze.

The road remains closed.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said:

“2 Fire Appliances from Lisburn Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Central Fire Station were deployed to the scene of a road traffic collision involving two vans in the area.

"Firefighters using breathing apparatus, 2 hosereel jets and a foam jet dealt with the two vehicles well alight in the area. 2 men were taken to hospital for their injuries, with another man treated at the scene by colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 8:53am.”
