An unprovoked attack on a man by thugs who threatened to burn down his Cullyhanna home with his family in it, has left the community in shock and attracted condemnation.
The victim had been returning home from a wake last week when something was thrown at his jeep, details have only recently been released.
When he challenged the alleged culprits they followed him home and smashed his windscreen.
It's understood after damaging his jeep, they then kicked in his front door and attacked him and his father in his home with chains and other weapons.
They threatened to shoot his family who were at home at the time.
