Tributes are being paid to Gertrude Mallon's political contributions following news of her death.

The South Armagh SDLP member passed away on Sunday night after a long illness.
Party leader Colum Eastwood said he was "deeply saddened" by the news.
Leading the tributes he added,
"Gertrude will long be remembered as a pillar of strength and a source of hope for SDLP members in Armagh during the darkest days of conflict, none more so than her devoted and beloved husband Seamus."
Former party leader John Hume described Mrs Mallon as "the beating heart of the SDLP in South Armagh" and a "tower of support to her husband" Northern Ireland's first Deputy First Minister.
South Down MP Margaret Ritchie described Mrs Mallon, who she'd met at party conferences, as a "very fine and gracious lady".
"She was the stalwart behind Seamus during his many campaigns and during the talks process," Mrs Ritchie added, "she will always be in our memories in the party."
Party colleague Newry and Armagh MLA Justin McNulty described Mrs Mallon as a "strong woman".
He said she was, "a lady with tremendous strength and resilience to have stood by Seamus through the hardest times of our Troubles, when it wasn't as comfortable [then as it is now] to be a politician."
Gertrude Mallon is survived by her husband Seamus, daughter Orla, by her son-in-law Mark and grand-daughter Lara.
Her funeral will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, 19th October).
