Two people have been convicted at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
Anthony Coyle who’s 58 and from Ardboe Road in Cookstown claimed Income Support totalling almost £5,000 - while failing to declare employment.
He was given a three month prison sentence suspended for two years.
Eilish Telford who’s 33 and from Mourne Avenue in Coalisland claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling over £3000 - while failing to declare employment. She was given 180 hours community service.
Both are required to repay money wrongfully obtained to the Department for Communities.
