Caolan McConville (12), Sean McCartan (16) and Cyril Walker (46) will represent Ireland at the Special Olympics World Winter Games in March 2017

Two local athletes will join Team Ireland at the Special Olympic World Winter Games in Austria.

Skiers Sean McCarten from Carryduff and Cyril Walker from Markethill will compete at the international sporting event in March.
At 12 years old, Caolan McConville from Aghagallon outside Craigavon will be one of the youngest athletes.
Special Olympics Ulster director Shaun Cassidy says they've all worked hard to get to this stage

He said, "These athletes have been selected after the Ireland Games which took place on the slopes of Kilternan, and it's been a long road for them in terms of training and the support that we've given them over the last number of years in order to be the best that they can be."
