Experts say lives will be saved as women in Northern Ireland will be able to access 3D digital breast cancer screening for the first time.

Action Cancer now has the ground-breaking Tomosynthesis technology on-board its 'Big Bus' which visits 225 locations here every year.

It's a service not offered anywhere else across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

Joanna Currie is Consultant Radiographer with the charity...

The announcement coincides with an international conference hosted by Action Cancer on Breast Imaging and Cancer Detection at Queen’s University.

The conference has attracted more than 120 health professionals including radiologists, radiographers, surgeons, specialist doctors and breast care nurses from the USA, Sweden, the UK and Ireland.

US expert Dr Mike Linver is the keynote speaker. He says Northern Ireland is leading the way in life-saving breast screening...

And he's urging women to take advantage of the free test...
