A sponsored walk has taken place in memory of an autistic County Londonderry boy, killed by a car in September.

Daniel Bradley died after being struck on the Glenshane Road. He was 8 and from Maghera.

Around a dozen supporters - who were attending the Boxing Day clash between Newry City and Warrenpoint Town - took part in the six mile trek to Milltown.

More than £1500 has been raised so far with donations continuing to be made via social media.

Assistance Dogs NI and Newry Hospice will benefit from the money.

Newry fan Decky McParland told Q Radio of the total raised so far. His son has Asperger's and said he was touched by Daniel's story.
