Warrenpoint family 'lucky' after Caribbean holiday diverted from hurricanes

Anna and her family's holiday in the Caribbean was extended to two weeks following diversions to avoid hurricanes Irma and Maria.

A Warrenpoint woman who was on holiday in the Caribbean with her family during two of the most powerful hurricanes ever recorded has spoken to Q Radio. 

Anna O'Hagan, her three daughters, their husbands and her granddaughter, had flown to Miami for a cruise to three islands just before the hurricanes made landfall.

The visit would have taken them to St Maarten, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.

But, as Anna told Q Radio, they were diverted from those islands:
