Investigators are treating a huge factory fire in West Belfast as "suspicious".

It left extensive damage at Belfast Crystal on the Kennedy Way Industrial Estate last night.

Crews took around four hours to bring the blaze under control.

Investigators are looking into how it started.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "the premises have sustained substantial damage as a result of this fire, which is being treated as suspicious at this time.

Adding, "Sergeant Tom Donnelly would ask anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in this area to contact Police at Woodbourne on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1048 01/07/17. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Aidan Jennings is a Group Commander with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.
