The 23-year-old was held after another woman was attacked with a boot last night.

She's due before Belfast Magistrates later this month.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "A 23 year old female has been charged with common assault.

"She is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Friday 29 December.

"As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
