There was a 6% decrease in the number of Halloween call outs for the fire service, this year compared to last.
Crews responded to 83 operational incidents between 6 last night and 1 this morning.
Assistant Chief Fire Officer Alan Walmsley has been speaking to Q Radio:
A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) Spokesperson said:
“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service has been responding to calls associated with Halloween night celebrations with the situation remaining relatively quiet.
Between 18:00 hours 31 October and 01:00 hours 01 November, NIFRS Regional Control Centre received 134 emergency calls and fire crews have responded to 83 operational incidents.
This equates to a slight reduction (6%) for the same period 2017. 19 of these incidents were bonfire related.
Reasonably quiet for our personnel last night, with the number of incidents attended between 1800hrs yesterday to 0100hrs this morning down by 6% from the previous year (83 incidents) with no attacks on our crews reported.@NIFRSOFFICIAL @NIFRSSafety pic.twitter.com/cblF0MjAJ1
