Derry City and Strabane District Council is launching a 'Bulky Lift Service' in the Ballymagroarty, Hazelbank and Coshquin areas of Derry-Londonderry.
This will give residents the chance to dispose of unwanted household furniture and other items at no cost.

Councillor Eric McGinley is encouraging people to avail of this service, which will be running next week:
“Council – in conjunction with BHCP has agreed to carry out an extensive bulky lift programme this coming week with Ballymagroarty being covered on Tuesday, 28th & Wednesday, 29th.
"Hazelbank will be visited on Thursday, 30th whilst St. Eithne’s, Hawthorn Estate and Springtown Road will be included on Friday, 31st. Also included on the 31st will be Coshquin."
