Work on a new cross-border greenway's to begin in the New Year.
The route will link counties Monaghan and Armagh and is expected to cost nearly €6 million euro.
Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council have committed cash to the project.
But over €4 million euro is to be footed by the EU.
