Newly-crowned European champion gymnast Rhys McClenaghan has been honoured by his local council.
His gold-medal winning performance in Glasgow a week ago was marked on Thursday night by a special reception in Newtownards hosted by the mayor Richard Smart.
The 19-year-old competed on the pommel horse and is the first Irish gymnast to win a European medal.
