A 48-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating a paramilitary style shooting in Derry Londonderry last week.
The victim was shot four times in the legs and abdomen in the Lisfannon Park area of the Bogside on Tuesday night.
A Spokersperson for the PSNI said: "The arrested man was detained in Derry earlier today and has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite for questioned".
Following last week's attack a PSNI Detective Sergeant said: "The victim was taken to hospital with wounds to his legs and abdomen.
"His injuries though serious, are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
"We believe four masked men were involved in this brutal and horrific attack and we would ask for the community's help in identifying those individuals."
