Search for former monk killed and abducted by IRA ends without success

A search for a former monk abducted and killed by the IRA more than 40 years ago has ended without success.

Searches lasted for a number of weeks in County Meath - but unfortunately the remains of Joe Lynskey were not found.

He was kidnapped in west Belfast in August 1972 and became known as one of the Disappeared.

The remains of Columba McVeigh and Robert Nairac are also unaccounted for.
