A county Tyrone company has invested £100,000 in new crufts approved dog food.

Ambassador dog food is the product of Basil Thompson, who's been running the successful Nutts about pets since 2004.

The firm which has a depot in Omagh, and another in Co. Offaly, has created 3 new jobs as part of the investment and plans to create another 10 positions later this year.

Speaking about the new brand, which was two years in the making, Mr Thompson said it was the "complete dog food for working, sporting and active breeds".

It has been trialed with crufts champions, Irish and British champions who have given positive feedback.
