Dua Lipa felt like "Joan of Arc" on the Grammy Awards red carpet.

The 'Dance the Night' singer declared she felt "very strong" as she arrived at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday (04.02.24) in a silver metallic long-sleeved Courreges dress, which featured cutouts at the hips.

Dua - who wore her red hair down in loose waves - told 'Entertainment Tonight' of her dress: "I feel very excited to wear it. I feel very strong in it.

"It’s definitely a heavy, like, metal dress, so I was like, I feel very Joan of Arc."

The 28-year-old singer - who was accompanied to the ceremony by her dad, Dukagjin Lipa, rather than her rumoured boyfriend Callum Turner - offered a subtle nod to her character from the 'Barbie' movie, Mermaid Barbie, with her accessories, donning a fish necklace and matching bracelet from Tiffany and Co..

The 'Levitating' singer was up for Song of the Year for 'Dance the Night' but lost out on both that and the Best Song Written for Visual Media prize to Billie Eilish's 'What Was I Made For?' - though she's very proud of the track.

She said: "It goes back to that thing of where, as long as I feel like I'm having fun or making something that I'm really proud of and I'm in the moment, and then I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be, and I feel that way when we were making 'Dance the Night'. "

And Dua recalled having "such a great time in the studio" with co-writer Caroline Ailin and producers Andrew Wyatt and Mark Ronson.

She added: "It felt so good to be a part of such an incredible project. It felt so good to do it with my friends. That whole experience as a whole was really special.

"I'm happy that that's like way out into the world now and like had its own life and it's been great."
