‘Doctor Who’ returning to reveal ‘terrifying secret about ‘time and space’

Announcing the comeback of the sci-fi show to the BBC in May, ‘Doctor Who’ bosses said the new series will reveal a “terrifying secret about time and space”.

‘Doctor Who’ is returning to screens with a series that will reveal a “terrifying secret about time and space”.

Show bosses said two new episodes of the show will premier on BBC iPlayer at midnight on 11 May, before arriving on BBC One later that day before the Eurovision Song Contest final.

Fan outside the UK can watch the Doctor, plated by Ncuti Gatwa and his sidekick Ruby (Millie Gibson) on Disney+.

Showrunner Russell T Davies, 60, said: “At last, it’s my great delight to unleash a whole new season of the Doctor and Ruby’s adventures together.

“Monsters! Chases! Villains! Mysteries!

“And a terrifying secret that’s been spanning time and space for decades. Don’t miss a second!”



There are options to stream the new episodes at midnight on BBC iPlayer or tune in at primetime on Saturday nights on BBC One.

The new season of ‘Doctor Who’ sees Ncuti, 31, return as the Fifteenth Doctor, after he and Millie, 19, made their debut as a duo on Christmas Day in ‘The Church on Ruby Road’.

It will tell of the pair travelling through time and space on “adventures to unknown lands”, according to the BBC.

The corporation added they will journey “to the Regency era in England” and “to outer space worlds and the sixties”.

It added: “This season will also see the return of Michelle Greenidge as Carla Sunday, Angela Wynter as Cherry Sunday and Anita Dobson as Mrs Flood as well as featuring an array of special guest stars including Jinkx Monsoon, Aneurin Barnard, Yasmin Finney, Jonathan Groff, Bonnie Langford, Jemma Redgrave, Lenny Rush and Indira Varma with more to be announced soon.”
