A GAA club and a local community hub are set to benefit from a share of four point three million pounds.

It's part of the 'Space and Place' fund for Northern Ireland communities.

It's a £15 million Big Lottery funded capital grants programme which seeks to connect more people and communities by using underused or difficult space.
Kilcoo GAA and Burren Vision will each receive nearly £350,000 grants.

Burren Vision is made up of the youth centre, athletics and gymnastics clubs, Burren GAC, Irish and contemporary dancing.

The group will use their £346,008 cash to rebuild their existing youth club and create a facility capable of deliveing a range of activities for the entire community and neighbouring towns.

Kilcoo GAA plan to construct a new-build community centre for the village within the grounds of the local GAC with their £349,791 grant.
They're hoping it will help to address social isolation and assist with creating greater community connections.
