Home owners in Mid-Ulster should take steps to keep their oil tanks secure.

Police advise fitting a sturdy lock to the fill cap on the tank.

A sensor light or CCTV can also be installed for peace of mind.

Police also suggest putting up a sign saying ‘beware of dog’.

Home owners should also secure their side gates or fit an alarm to the tank.

These are just a few ideas to keep your tank secure.
