A man arrested in connection with alleged death threats made to Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald and Garda Commissioner Drew Harris has been charged.
The man, who is in his 20s, was arrested by gardai at a residence in south Dublin on Thursday morning.
He was questioned at a garda station in the city.
On Thursday evening, gardai said he had been charged under Section 5 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.
He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Friday morning.
