A man who was pulled from the water at Merchants Quay by firefighters has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
A crew attended the scene on Tuesday night just after half past seven.
Witnesses say the man was wading through the water avoiding rescue attempts.
Police say he was arrested when he came out of the water.
