The Southern Trust top management's to meet with party representatives this week.

It's in a bid to address concerns surrounding the retention of Daisy Hill Hospital's Emergency Department.

A staff shortage had put the department at risk of reduced opening hours.

But support from health service stakeholders halted the temporary closure.

Campaigners, who have been outspoken against the Trust's lack of transparency, are calling for assurances.

At a protest rally, #SaveOurEmergencyDepartment committee member Robby Keenan vowed he and fellow wouldn't rest until Daisy Hill's A&E was secure:

Plans for retaining the 24-hour emergency service at Daisy Hill are yet to be released.
