A man has died following a collision between a car and a van in Lisburn.
Police said James Bingham, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene on the Belfast Road early on Tuesday.
A police spokesperson said they received a report at approximately 5.45am of a two-vehicle collision in the Belfast Road area of the city involving a white coloured Citroen van and white Mini.
“Officers attended, alongside colleagues from other emergency services. Sadly, the driver of the Mini, 50-year-old James Bingham, was pronounced deceased at the scene,” they said.
“The driver of the van, a man aged in his 40s, required medical treatment for injuries not believed to be life-threatening at present.”
