Two people, including a child, were killed and 10 others injured when a woman drove a truck through a soccer field in Kansas, US police said.
The driver, 34, from Garden City, Kansas, is in custody after driving through the youth game at the Stryker Sports Complex on Saturday, killing a six-year-old boy and a 35-year-old man.
Police said it was not immediately clear if the incident was intentional. There were two children in the truck, they confirmed.
Wichita Police Capt Aaron Moses said the force is investigating how and why the incident occurred.
"She has been cooperative up to this point in the investigation," he said. "We are still working to determine how this happened and why this happened".
The two people killed were from the city of McPherson, Moses said, but were not related to each other.
Five of those injured were children, from five to nine years old, as well as five men and women between 28 and 68 years old.
"Those injuries span from minor injuries, like bruises, to extremely severe injuries," the captain said. "But at this point, we believe those to be non-life-threatening."
Police were called shortly before 3:30pm after reports "that a vehicle had driven through a soccer game at Stryker Soccer Complex".
"They saw community members and citizens rendering medical aid to those who were injured," he added.

Emergency services, including Kansas Highway Patrol officers, Sedgwick County sheriff's deputies and police from nearby Bel Aire, found the boy and the man dead at the scene, Moses said.
The mayor of Wichita, Lily Wu said on Instagram that the tragedy has left her in disbelief and filled with grief.
"I'm heartbroken by reports of a tragic incident at Stryker Sports Complex. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected, especially the children and families involved."
In a later post, she wrote: "Our community is grieving an unimaginable tragedy at Stryker Sports Complex. What should have been a joyful Saturday afternoon watching children play soccer ended in heartbreak.
"Tonight, Wichita grieves together."
An investigation into the incident was ongoing, police said.
