A security alert has left people out of their homes in west Belfast on Christmas Eve.
Police say a suspicious object was found on Islandbawn Drive off the Falls Road earlier.
We're being encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
Police currently at scene of security alert at Islandbawn Drive, W Belfast following discovery of suspicious object. Falls Road is closed at Islandbawn Drive and diversions in place. A number of homes have been evacuated. Please avoid area if possible.
