Manchester United are close to a full agreement with Brighton to sign Carlos Baleba.
The club already have a five-year contract ready for him to sign when the club-to-club deal is formally concluded. The final fee and structure are not yet fully agreed, but the deal is expected to be worth in excess of £60m.
The 22-year-old is understood to be preparing to travel to Manchester, where medical plans will also be scheduled swiftly once the deal is completed.

Sky Sports News has been reporting on United's interest in Baleba since last autumn and broke the news that they enquired about signing him during the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old is currently recovering from an ankle ligament injury he picked up during pre-season, but it's not expected to keep him out for an extended period.
He has remained one of their top targets this summer and is set to become their third addition in midfield after Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
Baleba joined Brighton from Lille in 2023 and has made 112 appearances for the club. He featured 35 times last season and was absent for a spell while representing Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations.
